teacher, Gracy and the other children were looking at her.
Lily's face became pale. What would Lily's thoughts be?​

Lily must have felt ashamed and insulted. She wanted to reach school without the rain ruining her books and slate but she faced a lot of difficulties due to the rain. The teacher too was cruel enough to not let her in and Gracy had giggled at her condition. She could have felt extremely upset as the rain had ruined her clothes, books and that day's education.
