I.How can you say  that bread -making is still popular in 

  Goa?

            It was the Portuguese who introduced bread

  making in Lies.They  were fond eaters of bread.They left How in 1961. But bread- making did not stop in Goa.There we still have the mixers, the boulders and those who bake the loaves. Their furnaces are still there.

The fire in them has not been extinguished. The this and

      Yes, bread is an important part of Goal life.There is

  no home that can do without it. It is not only a thing of 

  daily use, but also an indispensable part of every 

  important occasion. Marriage gifts are meaningless

  without the mil.Any party or feast would lose its charm 

 without bread.A mother must prepare sandwiches on the

 occasion of her daughter's engagement .Cakes and bolinhas are a must for Christmas and other festivals.Thus we see how i.portant bread is in Goan life.
