Answer:

let us take one side of the parellelogram as = xcm

another side of the parellelogram=x+30cm

perimeter of the parellelogram =180cm

=2(x+x+30)

=2x+2x+60

2x+2x+60 =180

4x+60=180

4x=180-6

4x=120

x=120/4

=30

one side of the parellelogram is =x

=30

another we of the parellelogram is = x+30

=30+30

=60

Given:-

  • The perimeter of a parallelogram is 180 cm.
  • One of its side is greater than the other by 30cm.

To Find:-

  • Find the length of the sides of the parallelogram?

Solutions:-

  • Let ABCD be a parallelogram.
  • Let AB and CD is be x cm.
  • Let BC and DA is be x + 30.

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2[x + (x + 30)]

=> 180 = 2 × (2x + 30)

=> 180 = 4x + 60

=> 180 - 60 = 4x

=> 120 = 4x

=> 120/4 = x

=> 30 = x

=> x = 30cm

So,

Side of AB = x = 30cm.

Side of CD = x = 30cm.

Side of BC = x + 30 = 30 + 30 = 60cm

Side of DA = x + 30 = 30 + 30 = 60cm

Hence, the side of AB, CD, BC and DA are 30cm, 30cm, 60cm and 60cm.
