Answer:

1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

2/x+3/y=14

2/x-3/y=10

So add these two equations then u will get

2/x+2/x=14+10

4/x=24

so x=4÷24

so x= 1/6

Answer:

let. 1/x =a and 1/y =b

2a+3b=14.......eq 1

2a-3b=10........eq 2

on adding new 1 and 2 we get,

4a=24

a=6

putting the value of a in eq1

2×6+3b=14

3b=14-12

b=2/3

now , 1/x=a,therefore,x=1/6

and , 1/y=b, therefore,y=3/2
