The range of f is { - 7 , - 5 , - 3 }

Given :

A = { - 2 , - 1 , 0 } and f(x) = 2x – 3

To find :

The range of f

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Find values of f at every point of A

Here it is given that

A = { - 2 , - 1 , 0 } and f(x) = 2x – 3

Thus we get

f( - 2) = - 4 - 3 = - 7

f( - 1) = - 2 - 3 = - 5

f(0) = 0 - 3 = - 3

Step 2 of 2 :

Find range of f

From above we see that

f(- 2) = - 7 , f(- 1) = - 5 , f(0) = - 3

Hence the range of f = = { - 7 , - 5 , - 3 }
