Let A and B be two events such that the occurrence of A implies occurrence of B, But not vice-versa, then the correct relation between P(A) and P(B) is?​

Given :  A and B be two events such that the occurrence of A implies occurrence of B, But not vice-versa

To find : the correct relation between P(A) and P(B)

Solution:

A and B be two events such that the occurrence of A implies occurrence of B,

=>  P(B)  ≥  P(A)

as when ever A will occur B will also occur

and B can occur even when A does not occur

Hence  A ⊆  B

=> n(A) ≤  n(B)

=>  n(B) ≥ n(A)

=> Probability of B ≥  Probability of A

=> P(B)  ≥  P(A)

or P(A) ≤ P(B)
