Given : 'a'  is independent measure

b  is dependent measure

c is the constant of proportionality

To Find :  b/a

Solution:

'a'  is independent measure

b  is dependent measure

=> b  ∝  a     if  directly proportional

c is the constant of proportionality

=> b = ac

=> b/a  = c

'a'  is independent measure

b  is dependent measure

=> b  ∝  1/a     if  inversely  proportional

c is the constant of proportionality

=>  b = c/a

=> ab = c
