Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

A1 =(5,6,7,8); A2 =(4,8,9) and R is the relation X<Y

To find:

a. write R as a set of ordered pair

b. Plot R on the diagram of AXB

c. Find R inverse

Solution:

First of all write the ordered pair in the real R as given X<Y, where X belongs to A1 and Y belongs to A2.

a. write R as a set of ordered pair

R={(5,8),(5,9),(6,8),(6,9),(7,8),(7,9)(,(8,9)}

b. Plot R on the diagram of AXB

Plot an oval for X and Y,join the Elements of ordered pair with one another as per given In the relation .Plot is shown in attachment.

c. Find R inverse

Inverse relation can be find easily by swapping the Elements in ordered pair

R Inverse={(8,5),(9,5),(8,6),(9,6),(8,7),(9,7),(9,8)}

Hope it helps you.
