Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

A = (-2 , -3)

B = (3 , 2)

C = (-1 , -8)

To Find :-

Area of the triangle(Δ).

Formula Required :-

Area\:of\:the\:triangle=\dfrac{1}{2}|x_1(y_2-y_3)+x_2(y_3-y_1)+x_3(y_1-y_2)|

Solution :-

x_1,y_1=-2 , -3

x_2 , y_2 = 3  , 2

x_3 , y_3 = -1 , -8

Area of the triangle :-

=\dfrac{1}{2}|-2(2-(-8))+3(-8-(-3))+-1(-3-2)|

=\dfrac{1}{2}|-2(10)+3(-5)+-1(-5)|

=\dfrac{1}{2}|-20-15+5|

=\dfrac{1}{2}|-35+5|

=\dfrac{1}{2}|-30|

=\dfrac{30}{2}

= 15 sq.units
