let f and g be continuous functions defined on an interval I then the functions f+g ,f-g and fg are also continuous on I .If g(x) does not equal to 0 for all x€ I then f/g is also continuous on interval

limx_i fx/gx

lim h_0 f(0+h)/g(0+h)

limh_0 fh/gh

hence both exist ,then fx/gx also continuous
