let g be the acceleration due to gravity at earth's surface and K the rotational kinetic energy of the earth. suppose the earth's radius decrease by 2% . keeping mass to be constant , then g increases or decreases , K increases or decreases

since g is inversely proportional to r squared as per the formula therefore g increases and K decreases
