Let d be the density of the material and V,R be the volume and radius respectively.

THen. the moment of inertia of the body is given as:

I=KMR²

The mass of the body is also written as the product of its density and volume.

∴I=KdVR²

where K is a constant number.

For same identical geometrical shape, I∝d Now as d
