Given :   m \left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&1\\0&2\end{array}\right] =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&2\end{array}\right]

m×[1 1  

[0 2]=[1 2]

To Find : Matrix  m

Solution:

m \left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&1\\0&2\end{array}\right] =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&2\end{array}\right]

m A = B

A = 2 * 2   B  = 1  * 2

Hence  m  =  1  * 2  

Let say  m   = [ p ,  q }

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}p&q\end{array}\right] \left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&1\\0&2\end{array}\right] =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&2\end{array}\right]

p * 1 + q * 0    = 1   => p    = 1

p * 1 + q * 2 = 2  => p + 2q  = 2

1 + 2q  = 1

=> q = 1/2

Hence m  = [ 1    1/2 ]

m=\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&1/2\end{array}\right]
