Let O, A and B represent the numbers 0, 2 and – 1 respectively on the number line. Points C, D and E are lying between O and A such that OC = CD = DE = EA. Which rational numbers are represented by the points C, D and E. Also, take a point F, between O and B such that OF = FB and find which rational number is represented by F...............pls find this answer.....this question is for 25 points

Given :

Point O = 0

Point A = 2

Point B = -1

To find :

The value of points C, D, E and F .

Solution :

Points C, D and E divides OA into four equal parts .

Then ,

smaller parts = 2/4 = 0.5

Then , C = 0.5

D = 1.0

and E = 1.5

Point F divides the OB into two equal parts .

Then ,

smaller parts = 1/2 = 0.5

Then , F = -0.5

The value of points C, D, E and F are 0.5 , 1.0 , 1.5 and -0.5 respectively .
