Given :  θ be an acute angle in a right triangle

To find : explain why sin(θ)=cos(90°-θ)

Solution:

in a Right angle triangle

we know

Sin θ  =  Perpendicular /  Hypotenuse

Cosθ = Base / Hypotenuse

Now for other acute angle   let say α

Base & perpendicular get change

Hence

Cos  α  = Sin θ

now in  a triangle sum of all angles = 180°

one angle in right angle = 90°

=> α + θ  + 90° = 180°

=> α = 90° - θ

=> Cos(90° - θ) = Sin θ

Hence Sin θ  = Cos(90° - θ)
