Let OA, OB, OC, and OD be the rays in the anticlockwise direction starting from OA, such that angle AOB=angle COD=100°, angleAOD=angleBOC=80°. Is it true that AOC and BOD are straight lines? Justify Your answer by drawing the Figure.

If BOD and AOC were lines, then the sum of angles so formed should have been 180 degrees(Linear pair axiom)

But as we can see here...

BOD=BOA+AOD=100+72=172...which is not equal to 180.

Similarly, AOC=AOB+BOC=100+82=182...which is more than 180...

So, clearly, they are not lines.
