Let P, Q and R be the three dealers in a GST chain. P buys some articles for 1,000 and sells it to Q at a profit of 800. Q, then sell the same articles to R for 2,500. If the rate of GST, at every stage, is 18%, then answer the following question:
(i) The input tax payable by dealer P is:

Solution :-

given that, P buys some articles for 1,000 .

So,

→ CP of article for P = Rs. 1000

now,

→ GST at every stage is = 18%

then,

→ The input tax payable by dealer P is = Tax on purchase = 18% of CP = 18% of Rs. 1000 = (18 * 1000)/100 = Rs. 180 (c) (Ans.)

Hence, the input tax payable by dealer P is Rs. 180 .
