Answer:

g(x) = 1/2

x = 1/2

By putting the value of x in p(x), we get

p(1/2) = 2 × (1/2)^2 + 5 × (1/2) - 3

= (1/2 + 5/2) - 3

= (6/2) - (3/1)

By taking the LCM of both denominators

= 6/2 - 6/2

= 0

Hence, the remainder is 0 so, 1/2 is the zero of the polynomial p(x).
