Let R = qs—4. When s=8, R=16. When s=10, R is equal to..

answer : 21

explanation : it is given that, R = qs – 4

putting values of s = 8 and R = 16

16 = q(8) - 4

or, 16 + 4 = 8q

or, 20/8 = q

or, q = 5/2 = 2.5 , hence value of q = 2.5

so, equation is converted into R = (2.5)s - 5

now given s = 10 then, we have to find value of R .

putting value of s = 10 in R = (2.5)s - 4

so, R = (2.5)10 - 4 = 25 - 4 = 21

hence, value of R is equal to 21.
