Let's assume you collected the following data after you perform an Ohm's Law experiment:

voltage (V) current (A)
1 8.15
2 13.11
3 18.96
4 23.42
5 3.5

What is the average resistance value of the above five trials? Please submit your answer correct to 1-decimal place and WITHOUT its proper unit.

Given:

Voltage (V) and Current (I) values are given

To find :

Average resistance value R = ?

Solution :

Resistance R = \frac{V}{I}

1.  R = \frac{8}{15}

R = 0.53

2. R = \frac{13}{11}

R = 1.18

3.  R = \frac{18}{96}

R = 0.18

4. R = \frac{23}{42}

R = 0.54

5. R = \frac{3}{5}

R = 0.6

Average of resistance is R = \frac{0.53+1.18+0.18+0.54+0.6}{5}

R = 0.6

Hence the average resistance value of given five trials is 0.6
