Given : 3 circles each with radius 2cm

To Find :  Divide the first circle into  2 equal parts,

the second circle into 6 equal parts and

the third circle into  8 equal parts.

Solution:

Take a point O

Using compass width = 2 cm Draw circle

Repeat this process 3 times to get 3 circles

Divide the first circle into  2 equal parts,

Take a  point A on circle

Draw a line segment  starting from A and passing through O and meeting circle at B

AOB Divides circle in two Equal parts

the second circle into 6 equal parts

Take a point A on circle

Keeping compass width same  and taking A as center take a point B on circle

Then Keeping compass width same and  taking B as center take a point C on circle then point D , E , F

Join AD , BE & CF

the third circle into  8 equal parts.

Take a  point A on circle

Draw a line segment  starting from A and passing through O and meeting circle at B

Draw a line perpendicular at O an AB  meeting circle at C & D

Then Draw angle bisector of AOC & AOD
