Pakistan registered their first win in an ODI against England on 31st August 1974. This match was played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. It was Pakistan's first one day international cricket match win against any team. England batted first and scored 244 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 50 overs. In reply, Pakistan scored 246 runs for the loss of 3 wickets with 43 balls remaining to register their first win in ODI. David Lloyd made 116 not out from the English side and Mazid Khan made 109 from Pakistan side. It was a 55 over match but reduced to 50 overs.
