As we all know that earth is the only known planet having life in this universe. So we should respect and maintain everything we get from our mother earth. We should save the mother earth so that our future generations can live in a safe environment. We can save the earth by saving trees, natural vegetation, water, natural resources, electricity, etc. We should strictly follow all the possible measures to control the environmental pollution and global warming. Everyone should plant more trees in the surrounding areas to curb the pollution and reduce the effects of global warming. Afforestation, reforestation, recycling of used paper and other natural products, saving of natural resources (minerals, coal, stones, oil, etc), electricity, water and environment should be supported and promoted.

Answer:
The importance of cleanliness in our lives cannot be denied. Maintaining a clean environment is for the health of all humans, as their health completely depends upon the atmosphere. A bad environment is solely responsible for spoiling the health of the people around. And We live in a society which is based on Islamic culture. Where Islam gives importance to every aspect of life, there it also emphasizes the importance and benefits of cleanliness. It can be referred by the Holy Quran and the Hadith.
ALLAH almighty said in the Holy Quran:
“Surely ALLAH loves those who repent and keep themselves clean” (Quran2:222)
And the Messenger of ALLAH (Sallal laahu alayhi wassalam) also said that:
At-tuhooru shat-rool eemaan.
“Cleanliness is part of faith.” (Muslim)
We Pakistani actually never treats our streets and colonies as we do our home. We very well know how to keep our houses clean and we do keep them clean. But at what cost? It is at the cost of making our streets and roadsides unclean by disposing debris there. Cleanliness is self-sustaining system. The system is available and working successfully in some of the western countries. Why western countries are so much clean? Does each citizen goes collecting debris? No. They have a cleaning system and everybody by law is held responsible to follow the system.
“Cleanliness in not an instinct, but a matter of Education.”
First of all it is the duty of Government authorities to conduct cleanliness workshops. And they should educate people about their roles and responsibilities in keeping their premises clean. But unfortunately, if we did not have any such system in Pakistan it doesn’t mean that we are free from our duty. In fact, everybody is responsible for keeping his house, street, workplace, colony, and country clean.
Yes, everybody is responsible for an outcome. Cleanliness should be the fundamental responsibility of every Pakistani. A collective responsibility actually means no one is held responsible individually. So we should create a system where every citizen is held personally responsible for failing to keep his/her premises clean. Accountability is the one thing which is lacking in Pakistan with regards to cleanliness. There is no awareness among citizens that they have to play their part in cooperating with their city’s municipal corporation to keep their premises clean.
So, considering all these factors as our religious obligation we decided to do an activity to make our city clean. And furthermore to reduce the problems of air pollution we decided to plant trees in the parks and alongside roads. It was just a ground level activity because we were not having a huge funds to do it on a mega level. But it was nowhere less than a great initiative.
As Van Gogh once said: “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.”
This quote instilled a sense of pride in us and we worked whole heartedly. The success of our activity was not in the collection of huge funds, rather it was based on to engage more and more number of people in our activity and spread the awareness regarding cleanliness.
