Answer-

"It" refers to skiing, rafting and climbing and many other adventurous sports. When Ajeet went to St. Stephen's College in Delhi, there was a strong outdoor club where he started doing these things and by the passage of time it became his passion, profession and hobby.

2. Deeya says: 'Ever since I was little, I have been 'outdoorsy' and sporty. What does she mean?

Answer-

She means by saying this statement that she was outdoorsy and sporty since her childhood, she means that she had keen interest in sports and outdoors from the beginning. Even she participated and swam in school nationals and have black belt in 'taekwondo'.
