Let the mass be m
v = 5m/s
K.E = 25 J
K.E = 1/2 mv^2
25 = 1/2 m (5)^2
25 x 2 = 25m
m = 2 kg
Now if the velocity becomes 3 times then the velocity is 3 x 5 = 15m/S
Now new K.E = 1/2 x 2 x 15^2
= 225 J

Answer:

Given - Kinetic Energy = 25 j

                             v = 5 m/s

                         mass= m ( considered)

 K.E = 1/2 mv2

  25 = 1/2 x m x (5)2

25 x 2/25 = m

 therefore m = 2 kg

 Now , when velocity is doubled i.e v = 10

K.E, = 1/2 x 2 x (10)2

    so kinetic energy will be 4 times of it i.e = 100 J

similarly, when velocity becomes three times i.e v = 15

 K.E. = 1/2 x 2 x (15)2

   so K.E will be nine times of it i.e = 225 J
