Let us assume that 5 = -5
Then, 5^2 = (-5)^2
So, 25 = 25
So we can say that 5 = -5, as 25 = 25.
How is it possible??

it is possible becuz when two negative no.s are multiplied then the product is always positive so we can't say that 5=-5
