Let us consider the force of gravitation between two objects at F and distance between them as r. What will be the effect on force if: a. r is reduced to 1/4th ?

let M and m are masses of two object and r is the distance between them,,,, then gravitational force is given by
F1=G Mm/r^2. -------------(1)
again when r is reduced to 1/4th then we have R=1/4 r
now
F2= G Mm/R^2
. =G Mm/[(1/4)r]^2
=16 G Mm/r^2
F2=16 F1
