Do as directed. Correct the question tag-

Let us democratise knowledge.

  • Let us democratise knowledge, shall we?

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{\circ \: Active \: and \: passive \: voice}}}}

A transitive verb have two type of voices i.e., the Active voice and the Passive voice. Let us understand the both voices by take an example: Statement 1 The hunter killed the lion. Statement 2 The lion was killed by the hunter.

Actually both the sentences have same to same meanings but the difference between them is that in the statement 1 subject is that person who is doing work i.e., शिकारी ने शेर को मारा । And in statement 2 the subject is that who is the receiver of the work i.e., शेर शिकारी द्वारा मारा गया ।

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{To \; remember...}}}}

⇢ Verb is in active voice when the subject is doing any work.

⇢ Verb is in passive form when subject is not doing any type of work but it is receiver of work here.

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{Some \: important \: rules...}}}}

The rules are given below that shows how to change and active voice to the passive voice. Let's see what are they!

⇢ The subject is changed into object and the object is changed into subject.

⇢ Verb 'be' different forms are about to use here as is, am, are, was, were, been, be, being and we have to use third form of verb always here whenever changing voice.

⇢ When we are converting subject into object then we have to use word 'by' before it but in some cases the other words are used at the pace of by like to, at, in, with etc.

⇢ If sentence, have two objects then we have to convert any one of them into subject, it is better to change the active word into subject means, the living word.

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{Changes \: words...}}}}

• I changes into me, we changes into us, he changes into him, she changes into her, they changes into them, his sisters changes into by his sisters. You & it never be changed

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{\circ \: Changes \: in \: different \: type \: of \: sentences}}}}

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{Assertive \: Sentence...}}}}

At the place of I in present indefinite tense am is used, in past indefinite tense was, in future indefinite tense shall be/will be, in present continuous am being/is being/are being are about to use, in past continuous was being, in present perfect have been/has been about to use, in past perfect had been and in future perfect we have to use shall have been/will have been.

And other subjects are also going like this by seeing the subject is singular or plural. It is very easy if we are going to understand it well! :)

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{Interrogative \: Sentence...}}}}

⇢ Helping verb is used before subject.

⇢ In the place of Do, does etc we have to use is, am, are and in the place of did we have to use was and were. While changing into passive voice we have to remove did, do, does.

⇢ While wh-family is given then these are not been changed and we have to use helping verb is used before subject.

⇢ Where who is given then there we have to use by whom.

{\pmb{\sf{\underline{Imperative \: Sentence...}}}}

⇢ When we changing active voice to passive then let, be and 3rd form of verb is used.

⇢ According to the sentence meaning we have to use You are requested, You are ordered etc. But then let and be not be used here
