Let us make a sand clock using two transparent jars. Pour some sand into one of the jars. Cut two pieces of
paper
and fix these pieces on to the mouth of the jars to cover them and punch a hole in them. Place the
empty jar upside down on the top of the first jar, filled with sand, so that the openings are lined up with
each other. Now put the entire setup upside down and start your timer and note how long does it take for
all the sand to pass through to the bottom jar.​
