Answer:

let the principle be X

given,

rate=25/4%

a/q

amount=2X(twice of principal)

SI=amount-principal

=2X-X

= X

we know that,

SI=(P×R×T)/100

X=X×25/4×T/100

X/X=25T/400

1=T/8

8=T

hence in 8years it would be double

let p be x

amount will be 2x in t yrs

s.i =a-p

=2x-x

=x

now putting values in formula

S.I= P×R×T/100

x=x×25/4+×T/100

x/x=25T/400

1=T/8

8=T

hence 8yrs will be the time to double the amount
