GIVEN

Let X = {2, 3} and Y = {1,3,5}

TO DETERMINE

The number different functions are there from X into Y

EVALUATION

Here it is given that X = {2, 3} and Y = {1,3,5}

∴ n(X) = 2 & n(Y) = 3

Hence the number different functions are there from X into Y

 =  \sf{ {3}^{2} }

 \sf{ = 9}
