Let x and y be the costs of a mango and a orange. suppose cost of 2 mangoes is more than cost of of 3 oranges and cost of 3 oranges is 1 rupee more than the cost of 1 mango. write a linear equation.

1.) in third sentence it is written that price of 3 y is one more than x

2.)so from this we get a equation. 3y-1=x
