x = (m+n)/(m-n)
xm-xn = m+n
xm-m = n+xn

m(x-1) = n(x+1)
n = m(x-1)/(x+1)

when m = 36 & x= 2

n = 36(2-1)/(2+1)
= 36×1/3
= 12

hence n = 12

given eq x=m+n/m-n
x(m-n)=(m+n)
xm-xn=m+n
xm-m=xn+n
m(x-1)=n(x+1)
n=m(x-1)/(x+1)
given that m=36 & x=2
substituting in the above equation
n=36*(2-1)/(2+1)
n=36*1/3
n=36/3
n=12

hope it helps....!!!
