Let x, y belong to [π, 3π] and sinX + sinY =2, then x + y is equal to -

2) 3π
3) 5π

Here LHS = RHS only if sinX = sinY = 1, because on any other value, LHS is always less than 2, because maximum value of any sine function is 1.

So, X = Y = (5π/2)

Hence, X + Y = 5π
