The same problem was with me one week ago bit I bought new glasses and I am wearing them now
I guess u should get ur friend to a shop and yell him to buy a new set of glasses and tell him that even the people who don't have weak eyesore wear glasses just to look stylish and yell him that wearing glasses is in fashion!!
