Subject: Implications of Right to Education Act (RTE)

Sir:

I am writing to your good self to express my views on implications of Right to Education Act (RTE). The nation is working concertedly achieve 100 % literacy across the nation. RTE has brought new hope and promise in this regard.

With the RTE coming into effect, a new horizon of endless opportunities to achieve the goal of ensuring 100% primary education for all children in India has opened up. This act makes it mandatory for all the schools (Private schools in its ambit too) to provide free elementary education to the poor living in remote areas. The schools in that area will ensure transportation for the poor along with the other requirements. This will really have an impact on the increase in the literacy rate in India.

The greatest challenge will be to implement it honestly as the schools may not take the initiatives as directed by the Government. Free meal along with the provisions of RTE will prove effective attractions. The need of the hour is to spread its awareness among masses, especially in the backward areas.

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I appeal to the Government and the people to spread its awareness so that maximum number of people may avail its benefits.

Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Upen Sharma
