Subject: Corruption at police station
Sir:
I am writing to your good self to bring to your kind notice the rampant corruption in all Government departments. The citizens of the city of have to pay bribes to get their work done. India was placed at 76th position out of 168 countries with a score of 38 out of a possible 100 in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index 2015.
Recently I went to police station to lodge an FIR for my lost bike. I was shocked at their indifferent attitude. I came to know that they expect hush money to lodge the FIR and to take action. Why is it so? If such corruption and cold attitude of police department continues, what will happen to law and order and other security issues? I appeal to you to look into the matter and take strict action against the corrupt officials, officers. I shall be grateful.
