Subject: Shortage of water and awareness about conserving water

Dear Sir

I am a resident of Civil Lines, Delhi. We, at Param Apartments, are facing an acute crisis of water ever since summer started. The scheduled hours of water supply are not maintained and when the supply is on, it's not for sufficient. People are facing an acute problem, especially where all the members go out to work during the day. 

Simultaneously, on the other hand, we observe a lot of wastage which results in the crisis. Through my letter, I would like to request the reader to be mindful of water wastage and minimize it. Similarly, any leakage or over-spilling of tanks should be avoided. Not only this, spreading this awareness is also the responsibility of each and every person who is consuming water. With the decreasing level of ground water and increasing temperatures, the problem aggravates every year and unless we make a conscious effort to save water, we have no hope for any improvement in the present condition.

This is my humble request to the authorities to look into the matter and take corrective measures. It will be highly appreciated.
