The climate of Kashmir is very pleasant whereas, during the summer, life becomes miserable due to scorching heat in northern plains of India. Kashmir has been rightly called a paradise on earth. Those who are in valley are fortunate to enjoy the beauty of nature. Contrary to Kashmir, Delhi is like a hell these days. It is reeling under the rising mercury. Sometimes, the temperature goes upto 43°C or above. Hot winds continue to blow all the time. The pollution of vehicles adds fuel to the fire. It is raising everyday. People do not seem to have any sense of responsibility towards environment. It is almost impossible to move outdoors in the afternoons and evenings. The traffic moves at snail's pace in the peak hours because of the heavy rush. There is an acute shortage of water as the supply declines. Increasing population is a major factor that contributes to the problem.
