We should keep these trees, place informative plaques near them and help guide future generations to revere and appreciate the uniqueness and historical significance of these outstanding survivors. Even if some larger trees are planted to replace them, nothing will achieve this size and magnificence before the great-grandchildren of today's students are on campus.
