Dear Bapu.

I am writing this letter to say how you inspired me . Dear bapu, you inspired me by your principles and movements . Your principles of non-violence and Satyagraha has made tremendous changes in many lives . You made India to be independent through your principles without hurting anyone or causing any damage to people . You started dandi movement to save poor people from many kind of humiliations by Britishers for paying taxes on salt . You understood the sufferings of many people and started this moment . Even though you are old , you travel ed from the dandi to Sabarmati Ashram by walk. You started Quit India Movement against Britishers' rule in India where they started recruiting Indians for the war . You protested strongly and said that Indians cannot be involved in a war that is in favour of Democratic purposes. You started non cooperation movement against the Britishers by realising that cannot be involved in a war that they are they are in India only because of co-orporations they received from us . You inspired us by Swadeshi movement for using Indian goods and you helped Muslims by Khilafat movement . You made many moments which help poor people and common people . You gave equal importance both for harijans and normal people . You fought against discriminations made by Britishers in India . All these made me to inspire a lot bapu. You are not only an inspiration , you are also a role model to many people who are not only in India even in foreign countries .

Thank you for all your principles and movements which made India to be free from Britishers.

Dear Bapu,

This letter is written with love from my heart. I am writing to you to express my gratitude to you for inspiring me and to express my gratitude to you for everything you have done for our country. You are indeed a the great soul and rightfully the Father of the Nation. Your philosophy of truth and non-violence that paved the way for the freedom from the British rule.

Your birth anniversary, Gandhi Jayanti, is celebrated on October 2 as a national event across India. This day is observed across the entire world as the International Day of Non-violence.

Dear Bapu, your Salt March from the month of March to April 1930 in India, was an act of civil disobedience to protest the British rule in India. It was one of the first major demonstrations of nonviolent resistance to the British colonial rule led by you. Your Non-cooperation Movement against the British proved to be a powerful weapon. By this the Indian independence movement gained more followers. The zeal for independence increased in momentum.

Your non-violence and satyagraha policy lead India to achieve Independence without shedding a drop of blood. India achieved freedom in August, 1947. Your philosophy of non-voilence is admired across the world. It has been adopted by many civil and political groups to stage protest against injustice and powerful corrupt leaders.

You believed that all human beings are God’s special people and must be treated equally irrespective of their caste, color, language, creed, region, and religion.

You will always be remembered for your selfless love for the country and her citizens, your humility, your truth and non-violence, and for your tireless efforts to remove discrimination from every corner of our Motherland.
