Dear Moon:
I am so excited to have got the opportunity to write to you. you know you have been one of my most favorite heavenly bodies. Lying on the cot on roof during summer season at night, I used to look at your silvery white beauty and wonder if you were a big white pearl hanging in the space. I would often think there were fairies on you.
However, as I grew up I studied about you and was quite distressed to know that you were a life-less mass of rocks in the sky. But I continue to harbor a belief that some angels live on you that are beyond the range of the detection systems developed by human beings.
I was so happy when Chandrayan, India’s moon mission satellite was placed successfully in your orbit. I have a strong desire to land on you once. Let’s see what happens. That’s all from my side. Lots of love.
