Subject: Complaint Against The Shortage Of
Water And The Supply Of
Contaminated Water
Sir,
I would like to seek the courtesy of your
newspaper to publish this letter on the above
subject matter. This will help attracting the
attention of the concerned authorities towards
the matter.
The city is facing the problem of shortage of
water. Some times water does not come for a
week. This duration is on the increase. Besides,
the water, which comes through the taps, is
contaminated with gutter water. This water is
very dangerous for human consumption. The
authorities suggest that water should be boiled
first before drinking while doctors say that such
water is unfit for drinking even after boiling.
They suggest that people should use mineral
water. However, all the people of the city
cannot buy mineral water.
The authorities should take steps to provide
people with clean drinking water.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,

Subject: Low quantity and irregular supply of water

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I woul like to highlight the problem of water scarcity in this locality. For the last three weeks our locality is receiving very low quantity of water which is not enough for our daily basic use. To make the scarcity of water worse the supply is very irregular and not given in scheduled time. The people here are being compelled to buy water at extremely high rates.

Therefore, I earnestly request the power department and the authorities to look into the matter and restore regular supply of water immediately since the people of this locality are facing so much hardship.

I will remain ever thankful to you for your kind and early action.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,
