sir/mam,
Through the columns of ur esteemed news paper ,I would like to bring notice of ur readers,an important issue of our society.it is the evil of smoking in public places. For medical point of view Tobacco contains nicotine,which makes us addicted to it.
Smoking is more dangerous for women then men. Smoking during pregnancy may cause ADHD[attention deficit hyperactivity disorder] to a fetus. Cigarette smoking accounts for about one-third of all cancers, including 90 percent of lung cancer cases. Females usually experienced different effects of smoking compared to males. Smoking decreases lifetime expectancy of female smokers more compared to male smokers. Females, who smoke while they are pregnant, increase their chances of having an early delivery and low-birth weight babies. One of the many serious effects on the fetus itself is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. But still youngsters specially young women are getting addicted to it. India has largest number of women smokers in the world after china.
Therefore, I would like to request to the readers to become aware and make aware others about the harmful effects of smoking on human health. Also, I would like to request to the government to ban smoking forever.
