Subject: Destruction of the pristine beauty of Goa.
I, Anthony DeSouza, a resident of the Group Housing Complex, St. Mendonca Street, would like a space in your esteemed daily to express my deep anguish and concern of the destruction of the pristine beauty of Goa.
Goa is known for its pristine beauty. Ethically and naturally it is resplendent in its glory but with the massive tourist inflow much of its beauty is on the decline. The tourists are destroying its natural resources. The beaches are littered with their wastes, the flora and fauna are in the verge of extinction. The churches and cathedrals are getting spoilt due to overexposure.
If immediate measures are not taken the pristine beauty of Goa will be totally destroyed. I would therefore earnestly urge the concerned Authority of Goa to take immediate action.
