Sub: Increase of street dogs in our area

Sir,

Through the columns of your highly esteemed paper , I want to draw the attention of the higher authorities to the increase of stray dos in our area.

For the last six months the number of stray dogs in the locality have increase manifold and the people living in this area have been terror striken by such dogs.  The situation has become alarming when several small school going children & old people have been bitten by these dogs.  It is generally very difficult for one to visit the house of a friend or relative.  People lost their sleep as dog bark whole night.  their groups are dangerous as they started attacking the passerby.  they run towards motor bike which lead to many accidentin the area.

The municipal authorities should

look in to the matter and ensure proper solution for this series issue and public should also co-operate with the authorities to solve this problem.  I am hopeful you will give enough space to my views in your newspaper.

Thanking you

Yours truely

The Editor,

Subject: The problem of increasing numbers of stray dogs.

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily national newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the Municipal Corporation on the increasing number of stray dogs in almost all our big towns and metro cities.

Stray dogs have many negative impacts on the environment of a city and to the health of the people living in them. Stray dogs cause feces garbage on our localities. They are also responsible for many road accidents.

Another serious danger from stray dogs is that they are not vaccinated and if we are bitten by them we may get infected with rabies which can even lead to lost of life.

I believe that killing all the stray dogs with the help of the police is cruel and not the right approach. The stray dogs must be rounded up and kept in shelters. They should be vaccinated. There are lots of people who loves to keep pet dogs. So, they can be given to people who wanted to adopt them. The government must allocate a special fund to take of the stray dogs in shelters.

I look forward to a positive response and action by the municipality and the government in dealing with the problem of stray dogs.

Yours sincerely
