Subject: Complaint against unsanitary conditions of Mayur Vihar locality.
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper I wish to highlight the unsanitary conditions in the locality of Mayur Vihar, New Delhi.
The drainage system is damaged. The drains are chocked by garbage and the dirty water is flowing freely everywhere. The stench is unbearable and it is a health hazard to the residents. The residents are suffering untold hardship because of the unhygienic piles of garbage and the damaged drains in their locality.
The dirty and unhygienic conditions of the locality has become a breeding ground for rates and mosquitoes. Malaria, plaque, diarrhea and other diseases may spread any moment.
This difficult task cannot be solved by the Municipal Corporation alone. The local citizens too must understand their responsibilities and work hand in hand with the Municipal Corporation. The citizens must dispose off their waste in garbage dumps and not on the road sides. The Municipal Corporation too need to collect the garbages on a daily basis.
Yours sincerely,
ARCHANA
Mayur Vihar, New Delhi
