Sub: Skyrocketing prices of essential commodities.
Sir:
I write to you to express my deep concern over the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities which making the life of the common people very hard. The Government has failed miserably in its promise of keeping the inflation low. The prices of essential commodities such as pulses, vegetables, cereals, cooking oil, sugar, rice, and petrol, etc. have been rising unrelentingly.
The Government’s all measure to bring the prices down have failed. I just want to ask the concerned ministry and authorities what is happening. The poor are still grinding, and the rich are having a gala luxurious life! Why does the Government not put a reign on inflation? Why the Government PDS is is such a big failure? See the paradox! On one hand we have food grains worth millions of rupees rotting in the FCI godowns, and on the other hand the poor and the middle classes of our country not getting the food grains and pulses at reasonable price.
Why doe the Government not make these food grains and pulses available to the common people. Once the Government will supply these food items into the market, the prices will automatically go down. Besides the Government needs to act strictly against the hoarding and black-marketing of food items.
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to the concerned ministry to look into the matter and take steps to alleviate people’s troubles.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Seema

Subject: Issue of black marketing and illegal hoarding.
Dear Sir,
I would like to bring to your kind attention the numerous issues that are currently threatening the market spaces economy of GK-1, New Delhi. There are numerous cases of illegally doing business by many businessmen, selling the same things in a secret yet cheaper way. They have also hoarded lots of goods in one go-down at the end of the shopping block, from where they used to ply their business.
Sir, it will be of great help for us, the 'legal' business owners of the shops in this area if you could write and expose these illegal acts of these black marketing businessmen.
Thanking you and looking forward to a positive response from you.
Regards,
Mr. Sharma
President,
GK-1 Market Shopping complex Association.
