letter to editor on heavy load if school bags.....

I'm giving only the body of the letter....
sir,
through the column of your esteemed daily I want to show my concern about the heavy load of school bags carried by the students.
When I attended school, a time-table of the subjects for each day was established and the teachers stuck to that. The Primary Schools today, do have time-tables for their students. However, they (the students) are required to transport daily, all of their text and exercise books.
We should examine the dangers our Primary School children could face because of having to transport daily, all of their text and exercise books:
– many of them will suffer from curved spines because of the heavy loads that they have to carry on their backs;
– young girls in particular, can suffer from weak lower backs and early menstruation; and
– both boys and girls could have their Sciatic Nerve damaged.
What kind of leaders of tomorrow will the youth of today be?
I appeal to the Ministry of Education and the Primary School Heads to rectify this situation.
hope this helps you
