Sir,
I crave the hospitality of the columns of your esteemed newspaper to draw the attention of local authorities of “water supply department”, towards the problem of water supply in our locality.
For the last seven days, the water supply in our colony has become very irregular. Out of the seven days, the supply was given three days only and that too for only one hour per day.
Yesterday, the water was supplied only for 35 minutes. When contacted, the Assistant Engineer concerned replied that due to some electricity problem the water supply has become irregular.
I was not satisfied with the reply. It appears that the Assistant Engineer concerned is not taking the problem seriously. In the summer season, water is the biggest necessity. I hope you will be kind enough to publish this letter in your daily, so that the higher authorities can solve this acute problem immediately and take action against those who are responsible for it.

Subject: Irregular supply and impure water supply.
Respected Sir,
Through this letter I want to highlight the crisis of water scarcity in Jayanagar locality due to the irregular and impure water supply.
The residents living in Jayanagar locality are facing untold hardships due to water shortage resulting from irregular and impure water supply.
We have run from pillar to post requesting the authorities to provide regular water supply but to no avail. We have met with authorities of the Municipal Corporation as well as our political leaders to apprise them of our problem and to restore regular and pure water supply. But in spite of their assurances no action has been taken till now.
Therefore, once again I earnestly request the authorities to take up the issue with utmost urgency and restore regular and clean water supply as soon as possible. We, the residents of Jayanagar eagerly look forward to an early action.
